MRI Report (23.08.2014)
MRI of CERVICAL SPINE
Imaging
protocol: Multiple Imaging sequence were realized in different planes.
Clinical
information: H/O accident 2.5 months back
Findings
:
Cervical
lordosis is straightened with normal vertebral alignment.
Cervical
discs are hypointense on T2wl due to reduced hydration.
No
soft tissue abnormality is seen in neck
Bone
marrow signal intensities are within normal limits. Cord shows focal T2
hyper intensity with hypointense core along with mild perilesional edema at
C2-3 level.
Craniovertebral
and cervicomedullary junctions appear normal.
At
C2-3 level Mild central posterior disc herniation is causing
ventral thecal sac indentaion.
At C3-4 level :
Posterior disc bulge with mild posterolateral osteophytosis are
causing ventral thecal sac indentation and neural
narrowing.
At
C4-5 level : Mild posterior and osteophytosis with abutting disc are causing
corresponding thecal sac indentation and bilateral neural foraminal
narrowing.
Impression :
Suspected
hematonyelis at C2-3 level.
Thecal
sac indentation bilateral neural foraminal narrowing at C3-4 & C4-5 level
due to disc bulge with osteophytosis at C3-4 level and osteophytosis with
abutting disc at C4-5 level as stated
above.
Mild
central posterior dis herniation is causing ventral thecal sac indentation at
C2-3 level.
Degenerative
disc disease.
